How is the Odorox® technology different than other systems on the market?

Odorox® hydroxyl generators are the most advanced systems in the world for eliminating odors and pathogens in the air, on surfaces, and from within contents. This green technology is safe to use in occupied areas, and was initially developed for the most severe environments like rendering plants, sewage plants, trash transfer stations, and the disaster cleanup industry for eliminating odors associated with fires and floods. It utilizes the power of hydroxyls to break apart odors at the molecular level. Hydroxyls do not mask, cover up, filter, or trap odors – they completely eliminate them and leave behind no chemicals or residue.

What is a hydroxyl?

Hydroxyls (OH) are molecules consisting of one oxygen atom and one hydrogen atom. They are safe, naturally occurring molecules that are created in our atmosphere when the sun’s ultraviolet rays react with water vapor. They play a critical role in cleaning the earth’s atmosphere and are often referred to as the “detergent” of the atmosphere. They can be used to kill bacteria, viruses, and mold, and to break down volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemical fumes, gasses, vapors, and unpleasant odors. They are more effective than ozone, chemicals, ionizers, foggers, filters, masking agents, and oils. They do not harm people, pets, plants, or sensitive materials like rubber, plastic, leather, electronics, wet items, or artwork.

How does the Odorox® equipment produce hydroxyls?

Through the use of patented ultraviolet (UV) technology, Odorox® replicates the natural production of hydroxyls to completely eliminate biological and chemical contaminants. Ambient air is drawn through the irradiation chamber of the machine where finely tuned UV optics break apart humidity (H2O) to form hydroxyls. Nothing additional is needed for the technology to operate - no chemicals, no filters, no supplemental humidifiers, etc.

Is the Odorox® equipment safe to use?

Yes. One of the biggest advantages of the Odorox® hydroxyl technology compared to traditional deodorization methods is that it won’t harm people, pets, plants, or sensitive materials. All Odorox® equipment is ETL certified for UL and CSA standards.

Is the Odorox® equipment easy to use?

Yes. Simply plug it into a standard 110 - 120 volt power supply, turn it on, and let it run. Most units draw less than 2 amps of power and require very little maintenance. The machines are durable, portable, and lightweight.

How large of an area will one machine cover?

The coverage area will vary by unit and application. See Products to view our various models and contact us for questions related to your specific application.

What is the warranty?

All Odorox® machines come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty that covers parts and labor.
